Are you here because you wish your child had more independence? Or maybe you would like your child’s handwriting to improve, or for them to be able to focus & control their impulses so they don’t get kicked out of school.
Do you keep asking yourself, “Could this be a sensory issue?”? Perhaps you just would like to get a better understanding of where your child stands developmentally and whether their challenges are a result of maturity, personality, or something else.
Well, let me tell ya, you’ve come to the right place.

We love Michaelene and Children in Motion! She has worked with our son who is on the autism spectrum for quite some time now. She has helped him to understand and recognize his “engine” and ways to regulate himself. It is a long and incremental process but she is very patient with us. She has worked hard to recognize his needs and push him to the next level... also seeing when we need to include additional strategies, giving helpful advice. It’s obvious that she really loves and cares for her clients. - Nancy N.

Step Two
Parents are welcome to join us in the clinic during evaluations or wait in the waiting room. After your child’s evaluation we will score & interpret the results. This process usually takes about a week or so, after which we will be in touch to schedule a meeting to go over our findings & decide where to go from there.
Time for your evaluation!
Step Four
In 2001 Michaelene opened Children In Motion to focus on serving families - just like hers - who are struggling with sensory processing challenges. Pairing her professional training with lived experiences, Michaelene is well prepared to help your family achieve daily success.
2000's
Along her journey Michaelene was introduced to sensory processing, and after starting a family she experienced first hand how sensory challenges can impact day to day life. After undergoing specific training & learning everything she could about sensory, gradually she was able to help her child overcome their sensory challenges.
Early 90's
Early on in her career, after working in varying OT environments, Michaelene knew she wanted to branch out and build her own practice. One that would give her the ability to personalize treatment plans & adjust as needed based on the child’s evolving needs.
